BUILDING BUSINESS GO

SUMMARY

While working at SenSys Technology Group, the concept for an all in one packaged service was brought to me. One of the aims of SenSys’s branding was to be adaptable for future projects and decisions. If SenSys Technology is the parent, then SenSys IT & Networks is one of its children. In the same sense, Business Go is a child of SenSys IT & Networks.

PROBLEM

I had only designed one ‘child’ deep - until this new development happened. If we want to create specific services under specific brands, should it follow their predecessor’s brand? But still be their own unique self, something that stands out against the rest?

SOLUTION

I conducted research into other brands and how they had tackled this question. I then wrote out and presented my logic to the marketing team, as below. Business Go falls under SenSys IT & Networks.

While SenSys IT & Networks is burgundy, its brand colours decrease in increments of 10%. It would make sense then, that Business Go was one of these related values.

With the logo; SenSys IT & Networks’ logo is the SenSys Technology Logo ‘split’. Business Go should then use some aspect of the SenSys Technology logo. I decided to deconstruct the logo further. Any product or service that comes in lower down on the design hierarchy would follow this new rule. A) Be the parent colour, at 50% and b) have the same deconstructed logo.

MARKETABILITY

Business Go is an all in one package combining software, services and hardware. But it is not sold on its own. I worked with the Sales team to create visuals to peak interest during proposals to clients. Whether as a presentation or literature.

ANIMATION

One request was a visual that, at a glance, could explain what goes into Business Go. I began to envision a machine that sorted the main features and extra add ons into your own, custom package. The feedback was so positive when I pitched this idea that it soon became a full animation. Using Adobe Animate I created the simple animation video below.
